Reminder: Megahouse, Alter, Kotobukiya & Five Awesome Male Figures To Add To Your Collection…

Hope you are good. I know, I should be writing today about Statue Legend the World, but well… I already started to prepare this post, so we will talk about The World later this week.

As the title said, this post is just a reminder of some really awesome upcoming or already released males figures. We cannot talk about news as they have been announced quite a while ago, but at that time, I was busy with other stuffs, so I couldn’t make proper posts here. As I always say, better late than never!  . Here are five cool male figures you may really want to add to your collection.

1) Megahouse: Gintama – GEM Kamui

As a big Gintama fan, I couldn’t overlook this figure. Kamui is a character I like a lot. He is extremely strong and quite evil even though he is most of the time seen smiling. He is a member of the Yato tribe and the older brother of Kaguya. More info about him on Gintama wikia.

GEM Kamui from Megahouse was released late June/beginning July. Some pictures below, more on Megahouse website. Color are quite nice, even if the pose is not very dynamic. Figure is around 23cm tall. I would have bought him for sure if I was collecting GEM Gintama series. Might be too much for my budget though. If you’re interested, Kamui is still available on Hobby Search or Amiami.

 

2) Megahouse: Hunter x Hunter – GEM Killua

I guess there is no need to present Hunter x Hunter anymore on this website. Well, as you may already know, I am a big fan and I am more than happy that good figure manufacturers such as Megahouse or Banpresto take an interest in the series.

For those who are not familiar with this series/character, you can get some info here. I was longing for a GEM Hisoka, but I also like Killua a lot, so it’s ok  . Some pictures below, more on Megahouse website.

Figure is around 18cm tall and should be released somewhere this month. Killua is nice, as expected from Megahouse, but for budget reasons, I will stick to Banpresto figures. Pre-order are open at Hobby Search or Amiami.

 

3) Alter:  Altair Durarara!! – Shizuo

If you haven’t heard about Durarara!!, it’s time to keep yourself updated. The anime is great, I just loved it (Baccano too!). The author, Ryohgo Narita, is just a genius. Let’s put it this way.

So, after Izaya (see related post here), his best enemy Heiwajima Shizuo is to be released next month (August). Some pictures below, you can also check Alter website for more info. Figure will be approx. 22cm tall.

 I like this Shizuo a lot and I must say that I fancy a lot Alter figures. I don’t own any myself, but I’ve seen plenty of them and the level of detail, the colors, the poses etc. are really amazing. Hope they will be re-runs later, when I’ll be richer. Seems pre-orders are closed at Hobby Search & Amiami, but keep an eye on these websites (or others). They may have some extra at release date.

 

4) Kotobukiya: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters – Artfx Kaiba Seto

Yay!!! Another Yu-Gi-oh figure!!! Indeed, after Yami Yugi (see related post here), Kotobukiya announced the very cool Kaiba Seto. Figure will be available in September, and around 27.5cm tall. Some pictures below, more on Kotobukiya website. Kaiba is listed for pre-order on Amiami or Hobby Search.

 

5) Megahouse: Persona 4 The Animation – Narukami Yu

Did you have a chance to check Persona 4 The Animation? If you haven’t, you really should. I really really loved this series, although I haven’t played the game. It’s really cool and sooo funny!!!! And guess who’s the last Persona that Narukami summoned to get rid of the villain? BTW that final boss wasn’t really cool, I was quite disappointed. But I loved the Persona, so it was ok  .

So, after Izanagi’s figure (see related post here), Yu is scheduled for November. Figure will be around 22cm tall. Some pictures below, more on Megahouse website.

Cool figure. My budget doesn’t allow it, but well who knows… Maybe one day!
